Our Vision for Harbour Farm & Vineyards

The Inspiration
My son, Shea, is autistic.  His trouble in school, social inadequacies, learning disabilities, his future live/work situation, and troubling statistics children with autism — all led to the vision of family life on a farm.  The farm will give Shea and children like him a place to play, learn, grow, and acquire skills. In addition, we will be able to provide wholesome family farm fun.

What is Harbour Farm?
It is a working farm and vineyard with sustainable growing practices, aplay area, organic fruit and veggie stand, and family-based farm activities on 20 acres of land at Ramona, California.

Future Farm Structures
Future plans call for a train barn, equipment shed, fruit and vegetable stand, guest cottages, animal paddock, green house and more.

Farm Activities
We will have U-pick produce, train rides, hay ride, picnic area, maize, pumpkin patch, adopt a vine, duck races, animals, corn box, and several play structures.

Where we are in the process
Land purchased, old building demolished, soil disked, irrigation well completed, Ag power operating, fencing material ordered. Phase one and phase two site plans completed.

The farm will be a place to share and learn, participate, nurture family and friendships.  Shea loves going out to farm comes home worn out and tired, looks for animals, owls, etc.
